Cue up the classic Frank Sinatra hit – “New York, New York.” If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. Perhaps, it’s time to take a tip from Sinatra and also plan your next special event there.

Designed and curated by Paris-based interior designers Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier, the brand new Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York are well-appointed with over-the-top treatments such as fur-upholstered seating, pleated silk covered walls, silver-leaf wood paneling, and mica coated vaulted ceilings. Not to mention the grand chandeliers and numerous crystal accents in every single space.

There’s also one particularly fun and sentimental detail in the hotel that is a nod to Baccarat’s archive: 250 blank bound volumes (one for every year the crystal maker has been around) sitting in chronological order, waiting for guests to fill them with stories… Wouldn’t it be grand to have your event be the next story?

Location: Opposite the Museum of Modern Art, this luxury Midtown hotel is also just under 3 miles from Central Park.

Stats: The 50-story tower and 114-room hotel has spared no expense. Offering a mix of modern and traditional styles, the sophisticated rooms come with free high-speed internet, flat-screens, wireless sound systems and minibars. Upgraded suites offer separate living areas, complimentary beverages and even beauty treatments. If you’re in the market, there is also a residential penthouse available for a whopping $60 million!

Trending: Everything luxury, but also artisanal craftsmanship. Many of Baccarat’s crystal craftsmen are recognized by the French government as ‘Meilleurs Ouvriers de France’ – the finest artisans in their field.

Dining: Chevalier, the signature restaurant on-site, is helmed by chef Shea Gallante and restaurant director Charles Masson (of another famous NY French restaurant, La Grenouille.) The chic restaurant serves modern French cuisine.

Afternoon Tea: You didn’t know you needed a tea sommelier in your life, until now. Immerse yourself in the fine art of tea in an exclusive partnership with the French gourmet tea company,  Mariage Frères.  Enjoy specialty blends of tea brewed by the tea sommelier paired with chef-selected canapés and petit fours. Doesn’t that make a conference meeting about projections and budgets sound utterly pleasant?

Meeting Space: Prismatic walls of glass line this 800 square-foot event space. Floor to ceiling windows flood with daylight, while overlooking 53rd Street, rendering the interior bright and clean. It’s a perfect modern clean slate to build out your event. This multi-use space possesses discreet service amenities: concealed Bose speakers, a hidden projection screen, blackout drapes, two flat-screen televisions and high-speed WiFi.  A private buffet room may also be accessed separately, so that meetings and conversations can continue even as lunch or coffee service begins.

Grand Salon: The Grand Salon boasts a soaring 22 foot-high ceiling, walls covered in pleated Jouffre silk, parquet floors and plush, custom upholstered seating. Yet, the pièce de résistance is the 64-arm Baccarat chandelier at the room’s very center.  What a jaw-dropping impression for your clients.

The Bar & Terrace: A one-of-a-kind 60-foot bar houses Baccarat’s collection of celebrated wine and craft cocktails. Every single drink is handcrafted and then poured into a stunning piece of Baccarat crystal. Adjacent to the bar is a surprise outdoor space in the middle of the city: a green terrace dotted with square cut topiaries, with a treillage wall covering one end and a fireplace illuminating the center.

Spa de La Mer & Pool: The first exclusive La Mer spa stateside. Custom treatments incorporate its stellar formulas based on bio-fermentation. Inspired by the sea, the treatment rooms evoke a sense of calm and relaxation after a long day of presentations. In addition the heated pool is coupled with cabanas inspired by the Côte d’Azur. The pool’s towels are even scented with signature Baccarat Rouge 540 perfume!
